How the easy grade calculator works
Score = (questions − wrong) ÷ questions × 100 for equally weighted questions. Letter grades use an example scale (A = 93+, B = 83+, C = 73+, D = 63+). Cutoffs vary; customise the scale to match your school.
How do I calculate a test grade?
Divide the number of correct answers by the total questions and multiply by 100. For example, 17 out of 20 is 17 ÷ 20 × 100 = 85%, which is a B.
Can I use half points?
Yes. Turn on half points and the chart shows every 0.5-point step, ideal for partial credit.
Can I change the grading scale?
Yes. Open “Custom grading scale” and edit the minimum percent for each letter. The chart updates instantly.
Does the calculator work on phones?
Yes. Test calculations run in your browser and do not require an account. You can use the same chart and grading controls on a phone.
